The Florida Strawberry Growers Association has awarded over 299 scholarships totaling $206,500 since 1983. Scholarship applications are ready for pick up or download beginning in June each year and are usually due the middle of September that same year.
Funds are generated from the best flat competition held each year. Growers enter their best strawberry flat, which is then judged. The`` top three flats are then auctioned off at the Strawberry Festival. If you would like to apply for this scholarship please click here for the 2010-2011 application.
